AMERICAN BASS TOURNAMENTS
We have 4 Special Events starting Saturday June 8th!
American Bass Tournaments are a fun and friendly events that allow anglers of all skill level and fishing knowledge to come together and compete amongst each other. The goal is to catch the heaviest “Tournament Limit” during the competition. The top finishers at each event are awarded Cash Prizes!
All participants must be a member of American Bass. Membership runs for one-year from the date you join. Membership is open to all. There are no meetings or minimum requirements, this is not a “Fishing Club” that requires participation outside of the events.
Registration takes place at the tournaments site prior to the start of the event. These is an entry fee paid for each event. In addition to the basic entry fee, there are addition “Entry Options” that may be entered for an opportunity to win additional cash prizes.
The launching of the tournament boats is very organized. All boats are gathered in one area after launch. When it is time for the competition to start, the boats are released in single file, this assures a safe start to the event.
Teams fish in any area of the lake, other than any area deemed “Off-Limits” by the lake or tournament officials. Only artificial lures are allowed. Fishing techniques and equipment must be considered “legal and allowed” by lake, state and tournament rules and regulations. The fish must be held in an aerated livewell. Large Ice Chests equipped with an aerator may be used. Any livewell other than a built-in livewell must be approved by tournament officials prior to launch. The care of the fish is our main concern at our events.
All boats are assigned a time to return to the weigh-in site. Any boat arriving after the designated time will not be allowed to weigh their fish.
The fish are weighed-in at the weigh-in site. The fish are released back into the lake.
An awards ceremony is held after weigh-in to present cash, awards and prizes to the top finishers.
