La Panza Campground

It’s all about the rugged outdoors at La Panza Campground, cradled in a canyon setting near Santa Margarita. Hiking, horseback riding, and hunting are all great things to do in nearby Machesna Mountain Wilderness, but the real thrill is the Stair Steps, part of 44 miles of routes in the sprawling Pozo La Panza, where expert off-roading (HOV) riders get their kicks on bikes, motorcycles, ATVs and four-wheel drive vehicles.
