Beneath towering pines, high above the Sespe Wilderness, is a campsite just for you. At an elevation of 6, 650 feet, with views of the distant Channel Islands and cool temps even on hot summer days, Pine Mountain Campground near Ojai is a rustic retreat. With only six campsites, this is a real getaway from the grind of daily life. Boulder Canyon (23W03) is the area’s sole designated trail, but you can explore the surrounding hills for views. A mile up the road leads you to Chorro Grande Trail and Raspberry Spring Trail, accessed from Reyes Peak Campground. Or, drive past the gate at the end of the paved road to reach Reyes Peak Trailhead.
