At an elevation of 7,400 feet in western Los Padres National Forest, the campground offers two group camps.  Hop on the McGill Campground Trail and hike or bike for a meandering 3.7 miles, admiring splendid views of the San Joaquin Valley and the Sierra Nevadas in the distance. Or, gear up for the two-mile hike to the 8,831-foot summit of Mount Pino. For more stunning scenery, drive the nearby Jacinto Reyes National Scenic Byway and take in breathtaking cliffs and rock formations. After a day of adventure, let the softly hooting owls carry you off to sleep.
