Update 10/14/17: Plaskett Creek Campground is open and Highway 1 is NOW OPEN from the North. Vehicles can access Plaskett Creek Campground from the North using Highway 1. A closure is still in place on Highway from the south and accessible by vehicle from Nacimiento/Ferguson Road. Please use a map to check your route before traveling. Sand Dollar Beach, Willow Day Use and Mill Day Use Areas are open and accessible as well.
NOTICE: Due to the California Drought and water shortage in California, the spigots have been turned off at Plaskett Creek Campground to conserve water for flushing toilets and spigots. Many campers have added hand sanitizer and/or wipes to their camping supplies.
Plaskett Creek Campground offers family campsites in a country park-like setting under a scattered canopy of large Monterey Pines and Monterey Cypress.
You will be able to make a reservation online by clicking the “Reservations button” , as long as it is at least 8 (eight) days prior to your desired date of arrival.
The campground has 44 units, each with a picnic table, fire ring and pedestal grill.
The campground is 100′ above sea level 3.5 miles north of the town of Gorda.
The Pacific Ocean is just across Highway 1 and easily accessed through Sand Dollar Beach walking trail.
