Kirk Creek is situated on an open bluff
100′ above the ocean, among several Monterey Pines.
Each of Kirk Creek’s 34 sites has a view of the Pacific Ocean and the magnificent Big Sur coast. There is one short trail leading from the campground to the beach. Kirk Creek is a popular spot for surfing and ocean fishing.
Across Hwy. 1 is Kirk Creek trailhead leading into the Ventana Wilderness.
Kirk Creek campsites are available on a first come first serve basis or reservations. You can make reservations on line at recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777.
